Beware the Fools of April

This is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down.

Got a secret.  Can you keep it?  Swear this one you’ll save.  Better lock it in your pocket.  Taking this one to the grave.

Today is where your book begins.  The rest is still unwritten.

Now, the story of a wealthy family who lost everything.

Dad says he’s a kid, on the ball, very clever.  You could say that he’s bright, brainy, gifted, whatever.

Wandering down this road that we call life is what we’re doing.

Math, science, history.  Unraveling the mysteries that all started with a big bang.

A long time ago, we used to be friends, but I haven’t thought of you lately at all.

She could have fell, fell out of the sky, she could have fell right out of the sky.  Who’s that girl?

Here I am, once again.  Feeling lost, but now and then, I breathe it in and let it go.

In between the lines, there’s a lot of obscurity.  I’m not inclined to resign to maturity.

It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear.  When it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year.

Nobody knows where they might end up.  Nobody knows.

California, here we come.  Right back where we started from.

If you believe we’ve got a picture perfect plan, we’ve got you fooled, because we only do the best we can.

And who am I?  That’s a secret I’ll never tell.[i]

[i] Do you know what this means?  If you do, comment, text me, email me, however you want to contact me.  I’d like to know if anyone figures it out.
